This is one of those restaurants that you should not leave Pristina without patronizing. For 15 euro a head, the chef gives you various appetizers like stuffed grape leaves, cheeses, olives, and peppers. Then you get a fresh green salad followed by a hearty, delicious meal cooked on the grill. Wine, water, and raki are included in the price. There is no menu here, by the way, but I’ve never heard anyone complain about the food put in front of them.
Price: $$ of $$$
Directions: (There are a few locations; here is one.) Starting from U.S. Embassy Bravo gate, take a right to walk down the hill to the main road (Ahmet Krasniqi). When you get to the circle, keep to your right and walk on the overpass over the train tracks and take the first right (onto Tirana). At the first main road, take a left onto Garibaldi. Walk straight through the next intersection. When the road comes to a “T,” make a right and walk toward Mother Teresa Cathedral (on Xhorxh Bush). On the right side of the road, you will see Aurora’s red neon sign. Turn right into the alleyway right after Aurora to walk down several cement steps and up to a big wooden unmarked door (Renaissance 2). Knock if it is not open.
