Christ the Saviour (Unfinished) Serbian Orthodox Cathedral

A beautiful, unfinished church sits in the field next to the National Library in Pristina.  There is nothing inside of the brick shell and the entrances are obstructed by coiled barbed wire, but the outside is still nice to look at.  The construction of this Serbian Orthodox cathedral was started in 1995, but due to the war, was never completed.

Walking Directions: (To a good vantage point)  From U.S. Embassy Bravo gate, take a left to go up the hill to the Dragodan steps, just before the Hungarian Embassy.  Go down the steps and cross over the main road (Zagrebi).  When you come to the fork, bear right to go onto Fehmi Agani.  Stay on this road, straight.  Cross over the first big intersection (Luan Haridinaj).  Ma Belle will be on your left.  Continue walking over Nena Tereza Boulevard.  The Swiss Diamond hotel will be on your left.  At the next big intersection, Agima Ramadani, make right onto the road.  In less than 1 km, you will see the big church on your right hand side.  You can walk on the paths through the grass to get a closer look if you like.
